The Powermatic 1791210 is a Deluxe 15-Inch Planer. The Powermatic 15S features a Spiral cutterhead and knives which provide smoother cutting and a finer finish than conventional knives. The 1791210 has a powerful 3HP TEFC motor that is controlled with a magnetic switch. Three V-belts transfer maximum power to the cutterhead while the large cast iron handwheel moves cutterhead quickly and easily. Digital readout ensures accurate table positioning. The Powermatic Planer has a large precision-ground cast iron table and extension wings which provide maximum workpiece support while planing. Serrated steel infeed roller and smooth steel outfeed roller allow for 1/8" maximum depth of cut and trouble free operation. The 1791210 has a two-speed gearbox which features an automatic chain tensioner. The 15S Planer has an angled dust chute with 4-Inch port positions.
