|Cut-Off Saw Guide|
Cut-off saws are machine sized chop saws. The produce short to medium length crosscuts on an industrial scale.
Cut-off saws are typically activated with a foot paddle. At pneumatic piston pushes the blade through the workpiece and returns it to its resting position.
Some saws have pneumatic holddowns near the blade. The holddowns automatically engage when the saw cycles.
Cutt-off saws exist for speed. If you only do a few crosscuts, a radial arm saw or a chopsaw are the more versatile tools.
If you do require a cut-off saw, it's all about cycle time. The machine must complete its cycle as fast as possible in order to start the next.
Pair with a digital stop a cutoff saw can become a rapid stock dimensioning machine.
